Diesel Generator Configuration Standards

Generally speaking, diesel generator sets are used as emergency power sources for most factories and enterprises and are used alone. If used as a backup power source, an automatic switching device (ATS) must be equipped to ensure automatic switching when the main power fails. If it is required to be connected to the grid, it must comply with the grid access standards to ensure synchronization with the grid.

1. Power matching

Select a generator with appropriate power according to load requirements, and ensure that its rated power is slightly higher than the maximum load to cope with the starting current and future expansion.

2. Fuel type

Diesel generators should use diesel fuel that meets the standards to ensure combustion efficiency and emissions meet the standards.

3. Cooling system

Equipped with an appropriate cooling system (such as water cooling or air cooling) to prevent overheating and ensure stable operation of the equipment.

4. Control system

Equipped with an automatic or manual control system with start-up, shutdown, load switching and fault protection functions.

5. Emission standards

Clearly define emission standards to ensure compliance with local environmental protection requirements.

6. Noise control

Take noise reduction measures, such as soundproof covers or silencers, to ensure that the noise meets regulations.

7. Installation environment

Ensure that the installation environment is well ventilated, away from flammable and explosive items, and equipped with fire-fighting facilities.

8. Maintenance

Make a regular maintenance plan, including changing engine oil, filters, checking batteries, etc.

9. Safety standards

Comply with electrical safety, mechanical safety and fire safety standards to ensure safe operation.
